Val d’Isere’s Largest Chalet On The Market For £8m
There’s nothing particularly noteworthy about a ski chalet being put on the market – unless, that is, it’s located in famous Val d’Isere, and the property itself is the largest chalet to be built in the resort.
Chalet Huskey is on the market for an eye-watering £8m, and is set to be the most coveted property of all the picturesque chalets at the popular skiing resort. Covering an impressive 609 square metres of floor space, and with no less than seven bedrooms, this palatial property is packed with amazing features that wouldn’t be out of place in a Hollywood mansion.
The chalet is of the ‘upside-down’ kind, with most of the bedrooms situated on the ground floor. The bedrooms themselves are spacious and opulently decorated, and each one has its own seating and study areas for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes. Naturally, each bedroom also comes with its own en-suite bathroom, complete with his-and-hers sinks.
Heading upstairs, you’ll find the main lounge area, with a stunning feature fireplace and a glass bridge connecting it to the dining area. There’s plenty of space for entertaining here, with the dining area able to comfortably seat up to eighteen people. An indoor garden offers some greenery in this winter wonderland, and if you’re tired of all the snow and ice, you could always take a dip in the chalet’s heated indoor swimming pool.
One of the most impressive features of the property is the incredible 4.5m-high room which is built directly into the rock face. This room currently doubles as an indoor climbing area, and there are facilities for an indoor shooting range – just in case the plethora of snow-sports available on your doorstep gets a little tedious.
Private parking comes with the property, and there’s a private lift which connects the parking space with the chalet. The centre of Val d’Isere is just 300m away from the chalet, with apres-ski favourites including La Folie Douce and Dick’s Tea Bar. The resort itself is currently undergoing something of a facelift, with a £170m building project taking place over the next five years. This will introduce new hotels and an underground walkway to the town – and could add even further value to this majestic chalet in years to come.
The entire property comes uniquely furnished in an eclectic style, and is ready to move into on completion of the purchase.
