The gap between average UK property prices and those on these elite streets is stark. With the average property price in the UK at £356,925, London’s Knightsbridge properties are nearly 60 times more expensive.

Amanda Bryden, Head of Mortgages at Lloyds, which conducted the research, commented: “London’s dominance in the list of priciest streets underscores the city’s continued appeal and the resulting competitiveness at the very top end of the property market. However, at £21.4 million to buy a home, even those with the deepest pockets might baulk at the price.”

What’s driving demand?

The desirability of these streets is fuelled by exclusivity, prime locations and access to amenities such as top-rated schools, excellent transport links and iconic surroundings. These factors keep demand high, even in challenging market conditions.

For property investors and developers, these insights underscore the enduring allure of luxury markets, offering opportunities for strategic investment in areas that continue to thrive at the top end of the UK property market.
