BMW & The North Face Team Up For A Futuristic Camper
The North Face and BMW’s creative division Designworks have jumped into bed to create a futuristic, lightweight camper concept which protects owners from the most extreme weather.
The impressive camper was on display at Las Vegas’s Consumer Electronics Show 2019. The display allowed attendees to experience the two powerhouses’ design through a VR experience. The concept makes use of The North Face’s innovative Futurelight fabric to make up the outer waterproof shell, while minuscule holes allow exceptional air ventilation. The North Face describes it as ‘the world’s most advanced’ breathable and waterproof fabric.
Fans of BMW’s Gina Light Visionary concept car may recognise the camper’s inspiration in its domed shape. It is mounted on a platform which acts as a towable trailer and inside there is a bed to fit two people and shelf for storage.
